I have too many eyeshadow palettes - said no one ever! So today I am bringing you two eyeshadow palettes from the La Palette Nude range by L'Oréal (including swatches), that I believe have been around for a while now but are very new to me. I've also read some pretty great reviews, so I'm super excited to share my thoughts with you guys today.
First of all, I'm really loving the packaging - it's simple yet sleek with the black glossy finish, and the gold text adds a lovely touch. Really compact in size and they also come with a large mirror which makes it the perfect travel companion.
Each palette holds 10 shades in total that have been chosen by L'Oréal makeup designers, with a good mix of mattes, shimmers, lights and darks for whatever mood you're in and for whatever the occasion may be.
'02 Beige' is the ultimate neutrals palette; It has a few warm and cool toned matte browns that would make fantastic crease shades for the eyes, and the camel-brown shade would be the perfect transition shade. A dark matte shade is an absolute MUST in any eyeshadow palette so I like that they've included one. Just means that you don't have to pick up another palette just for the one shade. The 4 shimmer shades look so beautiful on the eyes and really lift your entire eye look.
For the lover of sweet and pretty mauve tones, the '01 Rose' is just the one for you and it's actually my favourite out of the two! This palette holds 6 shimmer shades from cream-white (that also makes a stunning face highlighter) to a deep rich burgundy that has Autumn written all over it. I can definitely see myself reaching for this palette a heck of a lot.
In terms of the quality and pigmentation of the eyeshadows from both palettes, I am pleasantly surprised by how soft and blendable they are for a drugstore product with barely any fallout as well. Both palettes have a really great range of shades for creating a soft and subtle day time look to a smoldering sultry eye for a night out.
