In The Spotlight | Tarte Pretty Paintbox

Not too long ago Sephora had their much anticipated Black Friday sale, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on the gorgeous Pretty Paintbox Collector's Makeup Case. So let's have a closer look at this limited edition all-in-one beauty.

Firstly, let me tell you what this beautifully packaged case holds; It contains 24 Amazonian Clay Eyeshadows, a deluxe Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara, full-size So Fine Micro Liner, deluxe Tarteist Glossy Lip Paint, an Amazonian Clay Blush and Highlighter as well as 2 Amazonian Clay Bronzers.

There is a really nice selection of eyeshadows ranging from shimmer, matte and satin finishes from light to dark. Which makes this an incredibly versatile product as you can create any look you desire for day or night wear, whether it be soft and sweet or smokey and sultry.

It's almost impossible to pick my favourite eyeshadow shades because they are ALL just so lovely, but a few did stand out to me; 'hot MoMA' (shimmery burgundy perfect for Autumn), 'get surreal' (lilac-taupe with a satin finish) and 'metal work' (stunning brown-rust shade). I love that every shade can be used to achieve seasonal eye looks for all year round, so you can tell that Tarte have put a lot of thought into what shades should be included in this case.

The blush is a pretty peachy-pink that would suit all skin tones and the highlighter is a gold-champagne that looks beautiful, especially when the light hits your skin. I like that you have the choice of 2 bronzers; 'unique' is more warm toned with slight shimmer throughout and 'provocative' is completely matte and more on the cool side.

'Obvi' Glossy Lip Paint is actually a very flattering nude shade for my fair skin so I've been loving that but I'm not too crazy about the So Fine Micro Liner from the Rainforest of the Sea collection. It's simply a personal preference as I reach for brush tip liquid liners more than I do felt tip, I just find they're easier to work with. The colour is intensely black though and it's great for creating a super precise wing.

I really like the wand on the Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara; It coats my lashes from root to tip without any sort of clumping and gives me amazing definition. Believe it or not but I've never tried a Tarte mascara (where have I been?!) and I must say, this one is a definite winner!

I expected nothing short of amazing with this makeup case and it certainly lived up to my expectations! Wonderful range of eyeshadow shades with lovely pigmentation from both them and the blush, highlighter and bronzers. Very versatile for day, night or any time of the year and it just has EVERYTHING you need all-in-one. I think this would make a perfect gift for any lover of makeup, or for someone who's looking for an introduction to the brand and want to try a variety of their products. Gorgeous packaging, great value for money and one of the best purchases I've made this year!

What are your thoughts on this makeup case?
