5 Products to Nail Your New Year's Eve Look

When it comes to my New Year's Eve look, I like to wrap up the year by going all out in style with glitter, shimmer, fluttery lashes and you can't forget the bold statement lip. So in order to absolutely nail your look, I have put together 5 makeup items that I think are the epitome of of a New Year's Eve party look, so all you'd need to top it off is a dazzling sequin dress.

We all want to look our best entering the new year and the first step is to perfect your base. A full coverage foundation is the way to go to hide every imperfection and nasty breakouts (that conveniently popped up the night before *sigh*), leaving you with a flawless complexion. A long time favourite of mine that I ALWAYS reach for during a special event/occasion is my reliable Stay All Day foundation by Stila. This has everything I look for in a foundation; matte finish, minimises pores, oil-free formula and has excellent coverage. It truly does stay all day which is exactly what you need to look amazing at the beginning of 2017.

My go-to false lashes for a night out are of course the ever popular Ardell Demi Wispies. These just provide me with the right amount of fullness without being overly dramatic, and they really do enhance your overall eye look. Eyelure also make great affordable lashes so I highly recommend either brand for achieving sexy fluttery eyelashes.

It wouldn't be a party makeup look without a good glow which is where Sleek MakeUP's Solstice Highlighting Palette comes into play. In this gorgeous gold compact holds 4 highlighters that you can totally mix and match by layering a few shades for an out of this world glow. The pigmentation is incredible and it's definitely a must-buy if you LOVE to glow.

Maybelline's 'Touch of Spice' from their Creamy Mattes collection is a lovely deep almost vampy nude that suits this occasion perfectly. It's no too daring so it's actually very wearable for a party look, and extremely comfortable on the lips too!

To really add that glam factor to your eye makeup, anything sparkly, shimmery or metallic will do just the trick. A product that gives me that wow factor are the Australis Metallix Cream Eyeshadows that are a fab dupe for Stila's Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eyeshadow. I like to apply 'Guns and Rose Petals' (metallic champagne-pink) all over the lid for a stunning foil finish, and maybe go in with winged liner for an ultra glam look.

Have a wonderful and safe New Year!
