Five Minute Face

I'm not much of a morning person so I have a tendency to hit that snooze button more often than I should (you know how it is!). So when I've only got minutes to spare, I go straight to the basics with my makeup using minimal products that are quick and fuss-free.

Innoxa's Restore Brightening & Even Complexion Creme can be used alone after cleansing or as a primer to brighten up your complexion when it's looking a  bit dull and lackluster. I like to use this product mostly in the cooler months to revive my skin by giving me that youthful glow, and it also contains an SPF of 15 to protect our skin from the sun's harsh rays. Perfect for mornings as well to give you that fresh and radiant wide awake appearance.

I've really been liking the Wake Me Up Mascara by Rimmel as of late. It has this lovely fresh and light cucumber scent that actually took me by surprise and it works beautifully to define your lashes. The formula is more wet so it never clumps or gives me that spidery look even after a few coats. I didn't find it to do all that much in terms of lengthening or volumising, but for day to day it does a great job and really opens your eyes!

The two things that I love most about Maybelline's Dream Wonder Foundation is the dropper applicator and how silky the formula is. I apply it straight to my face with one of my go-to makeup brushes (Real Techniques Expert Face Brush), and it blends like an absolute dream with ease! It offers light coverage but it can be built up where needed without it looking heavy or cakey. It is very lightweight so your skin can breathe and it doesn't make my skin feel greasy or oily throughout the day which is a big plus.

This Cheeky Lip 2-in-1 crayon by Laqa & Co is super handy because it doubles as a lip colour and blush which is very time saving. It's a gorgeous pretty pink shade that just screams Spring and Summer, and the texture is really soft with a matte finish that applies incredibly well over the lips and face. Perfect size for carrying in your handbag and touching up on-the-go too.

I do not care how much of a hurry I am in, I will absolutely not leave the house without setting my foundation which is where Rimmel's Clear Complexion Clarifying Powder comes in. It's just a simple translucent face powder that helps to mattify my skin and extend the wear of my makeup. It's actually quite similar in packaging and texture to their popular Stay Matte Pressed Powder. It claims to help minimise breakouts so perhaps with continual use it might however, I'm a bit skeptical. If you have blemish prone skin I'd say give it a try, you might just like it!
