Essie Polishes for Winter

Just because Winter is dull and gloomy doesn't mean our nails have to be, so today I have picked out 5 beautiful Essie nail colours to try out this Winter season.

TAKE IT OUTSIDE
Cool taupe with a light hint of pink.

Very on the neutral side of the scale, perfect for anyone who isn't into dark or bold shades. Can definitely be worn alone for a simple yet chic look or you could team it up with a silver glitter top coat for a glitzy look.

COAT COUTURE
Greige (grey and beige) with deep purple .

I think this shade is beautiful but also edgy and unique, especially with the soft matte finish. Application is a bit streaky (requires 3 coats for best results) and it dries matte fairly quickly so be sure to take extra care. If you'd like to keep the matte finish you can follow up with the Matte About You top coat which will also extend the wear of your manicure.

MOCHACINO
Grey-brown with shimmer.

This shade compliments any outfit so it's great for any occasion, and the micro shimmer is gorgeous when it catches the light. I also think it's the perfect transition colour from Autumn coming into Winter. It is a tad sheer so I'd recommend 3 coats of polish for a more opaque finish.

TUCK IT IN MY TUX
Elegant off-white.

You just can't go wrong with a fresh, crisp ivory nail colour for the Winter season. It's a very pretty and clean look that will definitely get you compliments. I sometimes like to jazz it up a bit with a rose gold glitter as an accent nail, and the results are amazing.

MERINO COOL
Warm grey-mauve.

This grey with purple undertones can also double as an Autumn and Winter shade. A very timeless, wearable colour that can add sophistication to any outfit. A must-have for your nail polish collection.
