Brand Focus | Australis

This August's brand focus is all about the Aussie owned drugstore brand Australis Cosmetics. I have 5 of their makeup products to share with you in today's post which some are old favourites of mine as well as repurchases.

The Fresh and Flawless Pressed Powder is an absolute best seller and it's a must-have if you love your affordable makeup. I've been using this powder for years and it's up there on my most loved drugstore powders. It mattifies my skin quite nicely and the texture of the powder is SO soft. What I also love about this face powder is it contains some lovely ingredients including Eucalyptus and Clove essential oils which assist in treating those pesky breakouts.

An excellent dupe for Stila's Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eyeshadows are the Metallix Cream Eyeshadows. One of my favourite shades from the line is Guns and Rose Petals (so clever) and it's a simply stunning metallic champagne-pink. The formula is so creamy with intense colour pay off so a little goes a very long way. These are great for amplifying your overall eye look by adding a touch of glam and sparkle for a night out.

When it comes to primers I always reach for one that helps to minimize the appearance of my large pores, and the Cya Later Pores Spot Primer does a wonderful job at that. I really like the silky silicone feel because my foundation always applies so evenly and smoothly over my face. It also helps to keep my oily skin under control so my makeup stays put all day long.

I think liquid highlighters are amazing as a base if you want to build up a strong highlight over your cheekbones, or mixing it in with your foundation for an all over glow. The Mineral Liquid Highlight is a repurchase of mine and I find the shade Pearl (frosty pink) suits my fair skin extremely well. You only need a pea size amount and it looks very beautiful and luminous on the skin. Again, it's full of skin loving ingredients and cruelty free too!

After high demand, the banana shade from their Contouring & Highlighting Palette is now sold separately (yay). This Banana Powder is of amazing quality just like their face powders and it highlights the face really well. I like to dust it under my eyes, center of my forehead, down the bridge of my nose and also my chin. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for an inexpensive yellow powder.
