Everyday Makeup

For day to day, I like to keep my makeup simple and light with the use of minimal products.
So for this post, I've included nine primary makeup products to achieve effortless, everyday makeup for work, lunch with friends or just simply running errands.

Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow

When I don't want to wear a lipstick but I want to add a of touch colour to my lips, I reach for a tinted lip balm.
I love the sweet, candy scent to this range and the shades are all pink based to give you that little pop of colour.
They also add a bit of a glossy finish to your lips and the Vitamin E helps to keep your lips moisturised and hydrated all day long.

BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Matte Finish Pressed Powder - 205

I always make sure I set my makeup with a powder to ensure it lasts all day long.
This pressed powder gives me a matte finish while absorbing any excess oils that may have risen to the surface during the day.
It has great pigmentation and the powder is very fine and smooth.
A handy little compact to carry in your hand bag as it has a mirror and a makeup sponge for touch ups on the go.

Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream

I go for either a CC or BB cream for everyday use but I've been loving this CC cream by Smashbox for quite a while now and it's become one of my favourites.
It provides light coverage to the skin and helps to even out my complexion as well as covering any spots and marks from blemishes.
It contains an SPF of 30 which is perfect for those days when you know you'll be spending a fair bit of time outdoors.
The formula isn't greasy at all and it does a wonderful job at keeping me matte throughout the day.
I like to apply it with either my fingers or a damp beauty sponge to provide me with a flawless base.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Concealer

I love this concealer for brightening up my under eyes to make me look more awake and well rested.
I just wind it up and it apply it directly under my eyes using the sponge applicator and blend it in using my fingers.
It doesn't sink into any fine lines or crease at all which is great.
It is one of my favourite drugstore concealers and I always go back to it.

Hikari Blush - Bikini

I always like to wear a blush to put some colour back into my skin.
I received this blush in a Lust Have It pack and it's a lovely muted peach shade.
I just lightly sweep it across my cheeks and it gives me a soft, natural hue.
It has a very slight sheen to it which I don't mind and it's nicely pigmented.

Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara

Essence have created a winner with this brow gel, it is amazing and quite comparable to Benefit's Gimme Brow which has been all the hype since it was released.
The little fibres in the brow gel help to fill in any sparse areas and give me a more fuller, defined brow.
It also does a wonderful job at tinting my brows and setting them in place.
Filling in my brows is a step I never like to miss because it truly makes a difference to your face.

Maybelline Color Tattoo - Bad To The Bronze

These cream based eye shadow pots are great especially when you're in a hurry and want to add some colour to your eyelids. All you do is sweep it across your lids with your fingertips and you're done.
It doesn't feel oily on the eyelids and it doesn't crease at all which can sometimes be the problem with cream eye shadows.
They are so easy to work with and the colours are so vibrant.
Bad To The Bronze is a lovely brown shade with a metallic like finish, it really makes your eyes stand out.
You can layer it on to intensify the colour or just apply a small amount to add a little colour for an everyday look.

Australis Cya Later Pores Spot Primer

This face primer does a beautiful job at filling in my pores and leaving me with a smooth complexion. It's not greasy and it contains silicone to control my oily skin.
Foundation just glides over the top so easily and it prolongs the wear of my makeup which is just what I need for those long days when I'm out and about.

It is very similar to the famous Porefessional Primer by Benefit but much more affordable and delivers great results.

Napoleon Perdis Classic Glam Black Mascara

Mascara is another one of those steps that I cannot skip because it makes my eyes look wide awake and just completes the overall look.
I like to curl my lashes beforehand and apply 1-2 coats of mascara on my top and bottom lashes.
The formulation of this mascara is perfect and it doesn't clump when I build it up which is a big plus.
