Beauty Blender Vs Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

Makeup sponges are an extremely popular beauty tool used by many which has changed the way we apply our base and the results are simply flawless.
This post will be a comparison between the Beauty Blender and the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

About the Beauty Blender

The Beauty Blender features an open cell structure that fills with small amounts of water when wet. This allows the sponge to be "full" so that the makeup product sits on top of the sponge rather than being absorbed, allowing you to use less product every time. When wet, the Beauty Blender doubles in size and becomes even softer, returning to it's original size when it air dries.
Latex free
Non-allergenic
Odour free

About the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

Rounded sides blend large areas of the face with a repeated dabbing or "stippling" motion.
Precision tip covers blemishes and imperfections.
Flat edge is for the contours around the eyes and nose.
It's versatile design evenly blends makeup for a smooth, enhanced finish.
Made from polyurethane foam which is latex free.
For best results, replace the sponge every 1-3 months.

The Beauty Blender is slightly smaller in size and much softer.
As for application, I think they both do an incredible job at blending and giving you that flawless base without any streaks that brushes can sometimes leave behind.
I personally like the flat edge on the Miracle Complexion Sponge, It makes easy to get around the nose and eye areas to apply your makeup.

I didn't see any difference in terms of application and the finish it gave me so I think the biggest difference between the two are the price and durability.
The Beauty Blender goes for around $30 compared to the Miracle Complexion Sponge retails for $17.

I think it's worth spending a little bit extra money on purchasing the Beauty Blender. It will last you a good while and you wouldn't need to constantly replace it as often as you would the Miracle Complexion Sponge as it can wear and tear after a lot of use.
If you have allergies, the Beauty Blender would also be the way to go.

They both do a fantastic job but I think the Beauty Blender is the one to go for.
