December Favourites

A look at what I've been loving in the month of December.

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel

I cannot get enough of Lush's Snow Fairy. I never get sick of the candy floss scent and I absolutely adore using this during the Christmas season.
It gently cleanses your hair and body and the scent still lingers on your hair and skin which is just amazing.

Sleek MakeUP The Gold Standard i-Lust Eye Shadow Palette

I included this gorgeous palette in my Festive Makeup Picks as well as swatches and it has been a favourite of mine all December.
The shades are very autumnal and festive which makes it a perfect palette during the Christmas season, Autumn or can even for a party makeup look.
An absolutely beautiful palette and I would definitely recommend it so be sure to get your hands on it as it is a limited edition palette by Sleek MakeUP.

NYX Glam Liner in 24 Karat
I've been really enjoying the Glam Liner range by NYX.
The brush tip applicator makes application very smooth and easy to create a wing liner. It also has fine shimmer throughout just for that extra sparkle.
Would definitely pick up a couple more of their liners.

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Toilette

I've been lusting over this fragrance for the longest time and it is so worth the money.
Top notes: Pear, Blackcurrent and Green Mandarin.
Core notes: Jasmine, Orange Blossom and Floral.
Background notes: Coffee Bean, White Musk and White Wood.
From the packaging to the scent, I absolutely adore this one by YSL. It is the perfect scent for a night out.
If you feel like treating yourself to a new perfume, this is it.

Tarte Easy Glowing Deluxe Cheek Set

Contains a deluxe size Cheek Stain in Dazed (rose gold nude) and a deluxe size Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Enthused (champagne).
A beautiful little pair for a glowy look to the skin and are also Tarte's best selling cheek products.
Great for travelling or as a gift for any makeup lover.

So they are what I've been loving in the month of December.

Top 5 Concealers

Concealer plays an important role in your makeup routine and it's a step not to be missed.
It corrects dark circles and redness, brightens under eyes and covers and hides imperfections, giving you a flawless base to work with.
Here I have my top 5 concealers that I trust and use on a daily basis.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer

Lightweight formula that provides medium to full coverage without caking or creasing.
It lasts all day on me and it doesn't feel heavy on the skin.
It conceals so very well and doesn't accentuate any dry patches you may have.

I mainly use this concealer for special occasions, hot Summer days or when I know I'll be out all night because I can always rely on it to stay put without transferring or wearing off during the night.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

This concealer instantly brightens the under eye area while helping to conceal any dark circles you may have.
The sponge applicator blends the product with ease and the results are great.
It's formulated with Goji Berry and Haloxyl to help decrease under eye puffiness and erase fine lines.

Sleek MakeUP Corrector & Concealer Palette

Perfect little concealer palette for travelling as it has all you need in one. A cream corrector and concealer as well as a setting powder that contains an SPF of 15 to protect against UV rays.
It covers dark circles and imperfections really well and the setting powder helps to increase the longevity of the concealer.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer

As the title says, it makes you look wide awake in the morning and ready for the day by brightening up the under eye and concealing any dark circles.
It has an anti-fatigue effect and adds a healthy radiant glow under the eye area.

E.l.f. Studio Maximum Coverage Concealer

A great medium to full coverage drugstore concealer.
It lasts well throughout the day and doesn't oxidize which is great.
The consistency is neither thin or thick but just in between which makes blending a breeze.

They are my top 5 concealers.
I hope you enjoyed this post. If you did, please +1 and don't forget to follow me for weekly blog posts.

Festive Makeup Picks

Christmas is my absolute favourite holiday of the year and here I have put together some beautiful festive makeup products that I think will go wonderfully during this holiday season.

Sephora Wonderful Dreams Palette

I mentioned this piece in my November favourites and it's a lovely little palette with the most gorgeous packaging.
The shades themselves are nicely pigmented and it would make a great gift for any lover of makeup.

Chantilly Lace and Crystal Ball would make a stunning pair for a Christmas eye makeup look.
You can find full swatches of this palette in my Novemver favourites.

Milani Baked Blush in Corallina

A beautiful peach/coral toned blush that would suit all skin tones.
It does contain glitter but it's still a very soft, silky blush and great for the price.
It's also highly pigmented so you don't need to use much at all.

Australis Silver Glitter Top Coat

Unsure if Australis still stock glitter nail polish but any silver glitter polish will look very festive on the nails.
This one contains flakes as well as fine silver glitter which I love using to create a festive nail look.

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer

This highlighter is loved by many for the simple fact that it is absolutely stunning.
It is a honey toned highlight that can be used on your cheek bones, cupids bow, nose or under your brows.
It gives you such a soft, luminous glow to your skin and it just transforms your makeup look from flat to radiant in an instant.

Australis Metallix Eyeshadow in Gold Gaga

These Metallix eye shadows look amazing on the eyelid with their foil finish and intense colour pay off. Perfect to wear at a Christmas party and they're also long lasting.
The formula is so soft and easy to work with.

Incredible quality for the price, I'd definitely recommend them.

Innoxa Full Colour Lip Cream in Wine & Dine

A gorgeous deep berry red shade, rich in colour and very comfortable to wear on the lips.
It combines the texture of a lipstick and the shine of a gloss.
It's not thick, heavy or sticky on the lips. The formulation is actually very lightweight which makes this a fantastic lip product and perfect to wear on Christmas day.

Sephora Colorful Eye Shadow in Wedding Day

I love a good frosty white eye shadow to wear on Christmas day and Wedding Day by Sephora is a beautiful shade.
The white and the silver glitter throughout makes for a great Wintery Christmas eye look.
To intensify the colour, you could use a white eye shadow base and that will also ensure your eye shadow will stay in place all day.

Sleek MakeUP The Gold Standard i-Lust Palette

This limited edition palette is absolutely stunning and I have to say, it is my favourite out of the lot.
The shades are very Autumnal yet very festive.
The palette contains a total of 6 shades; 4 shimmers and 2 creamy shades.
The shade Laurent is unlike any shade I own. It's deep burgundy/brown with red shimmer throughout which makes it such a unique shade and I fell in love with it.

I adore this palette and every shade in it. If you haven't picked this one up, I highly recommend you do because it is simply gorgeous.

That is it for my festive makeup picks and I hope you enjoyed the read.

First Impression: Designer Brands (DB) Cosmetics

DB Cosmetics are an Australian brand found in pharmacies that offer great quality products without the hefty price tag.
I have 5 products from their range to share with you including my first impressions so if you'd like to know more about DB Cosmetics, just keep on reading.

Twist N Go Nail Polish Remover & Primer

I honestly didn't think I was going to love this, but I really do!
I was amazed by how well this removed my nail polish and it only took seconds.

Contains Vitamin C & E, Aloe Vera and Green Tea extracts to nourish the nail bed which is wonderful as some nail polish removers can be too harsh on your nails, leaving them feeling dry.
It is such a great no mess, no fuss item for travelling.

Moisturising Lipstick in Vivid Mauve

A beautiful mauve shade of with silver shimmer throughout. It's definitely a Spring/Summer shade.
Very creamy and pigmented formula, comfortable to wear on the lips.
The only thing I don't like about this particular lipstick is once the colour wears off, the silver shimmer is left behind. Besides that, a lovely lipstick from their moisturising range and a great selection of shades to choose from.

Urban Dreams Neutral & Sultry Palette

If you love your neutral tones, you'll like this one.
This palette contains 10 pigmented shades including a mix of shimmers and mattes.

Can be used for a simple, every day look or create a smoky and sultry look for night time wear.
Also comes with a double ended eye shadow applicator, a black eyeliner pencil and a mirror which is very convenient for travelling.
A great palette for beginners.

Longwear 24 Hour Foundation in Classic Ivory

I'm really impressed by the packaging. The frosted glass bottle has an expensive feel to it and it also comes with a pump dispenser. It's simple but a lovely designed foundation bottle.  The quality of the foundation blew me away. It's amazing.
Blends so easily, does not cake or feel heavy on the skin.
It provides full coverage with an SPF of 15 to help protect the skin from the sun's harsh rays.

Also contains skin loving ingredients such as Vitamin C & E and Aloe Vera Extract.
The only negative I have is the very limited range of shades.
Other than that, I highly recommend this foundation if you can find the right shade for you.

Pressed Mineral Blush in Rose

A beautiful blush for Autumn that will flatter any skin tone.
High colour pay off and gives you a nice glow to the cheek.
Very soft and silky to touch and has a subtle gold reflex to it.

I think DB Cosmetics are a great brand that offer good quality products for the price and are also cruelty free and vegan.
They have a huge range of products to choose from and you can find them at, www.dbcosmetics.com.au.

I hope you enjoyed the read.
Please, +1, share and follow, it would be a big help.

November Favourites

Hi beauties, hope November was good to you!
Today I share with you what I've been loving in the month of November so I hope you enjoy the read!

The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream

As the weather warms up, my skin requires some oil control and the Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream does just that!
It's a lovely lightweight day time moisturiser.
It still provides hydration to the skin so it's not at all drying for a mattifying product.
I'd recommend the seaweed range for oily/combination skin types.

Nars Eyeshadow in Tropic

This shade will look absolutely stunning on brown eyes.
It's a beautiful blue eyeshadow with speckles of glitter throughout.
Richly pigmented so be careful upon application. I've found the best method to apply it is with a dabbing motion of your eyeshadow brush.
I'd definitely recommend using an eyelid primer of your choice beforehand to help bring out the true vibrancy of this shade and it would also keep it in place all night long.

Australis Fresh & Flawless Pressed Powder in Natural

This is such a cult classic in the beauty world!
Great for setting your makeup or for adding some extra coverage.

Contains Eucalyptus and Clove essential oils to treat breakouts whilst assisting in the prevention of further imperfections.
Perfect for oily, sensitive or problematic skin.
If you don't already own this powder, I suggest picking one up because it's an inexpensive, good quality pressed powder!

Maybelline Super Stay 7 Days Nail Colour in Rose Poudre

I'm a big fan of the Revlon's Color Stay Gel Envy range so I thought I'd give the Super Stay 7 Days a try.
I must say, I'm very impressed!
The formula isn't too thick or too thin, it's just right and it glides over the nails giving you a streak-free finish. It also dries fairly quickly which is great.

Paired with Crystal Clear, it really does last 7 days.
I like to touch up during the week by applying a second coat of Crystal Clear so my manicure lasts over 7 days.

Sephora Collection Wonderful Dreams Palette

The packaging of this palette just caught my eye and the shades themselves are so lovely. Especially for this holiday season.
You get 8 eye shadows in total; 4 mattes and 4 shimmers.
Chantilly Lace and Crystal Ball would make a stunning pair for a Christmas makeup look!
This palette would also make a great gift for any makeup lover this Christmas.

That concludes my November favourites.

Makeup Revolution Haul: Part 2

Welcome to part 2 of my huge Makeup Revolution haul!
I have more makeup to share with you lovely people so lets get into it!

Highlight Palette

This palette contains pink, peach and gold highlighting powders that look stunning on the skin.
Great pigmentation and can be used just as a highlight or lightly dust it all over your face for a glowy look.

Single Eye Shadow in Go!

Something different to use on your eyes when you're feeling adventurous.
To reveal its true colour, apply a white primer to your eye lids beforehand and the green will just pop!

Eye Primer in Wow

A lovely bronze eye lid primer with fine shimmer throughout that will help your eye shadow last all day.
It also enhances the colour of your eye shadow and can definitely be worn alone if you prefer.

Single Eye Shadow in U Know U Want To

If you're a lover of pink, this one is for you!
Can be used wet for intensity or dry for a softer look.
High colour payoff and blending is a dream with how buttery in texture it is.

It has a beautiful duo chrome look to it as well!

Velvet Lip Lacquer in Vamp

I very much look forward to wearing this shade in Autumn!
It really does feel like velvet on the lips and dries to a matte finish but it's not drying on the lips in the slightest which is a big plus.
It's almost black in colour but it's a very dark berry shade and the staying power is amazing.

If you love a good matte lip colour, I recommend having a look at their range!

Single Eye Shadow in Good Life

A must have if you love neutral toned eye shadows.
Again, highly pigmented and very blendable.

The One Blush Stick in Malibu

This would look amazing on darker skin tones!
Can be used as a blush, contour, lip colour or even to bronze up your complexion.
Apply dry for an intense look or apply wet for a sheer finish.

Amazing Lipstick in Flashing

Perfect shade of lipstick for Spring and Summer!
It's not too bright of a pink and not too dark either which makes it a very wearable shade for anybody.

Creamy in texture and leaves a slight glossy finish to the lips.

Ultra 32 Shade Eye Shadow Palette in Flawless Matte

This entire palette is just full of matte shades and they are all beautiful.
Amazing quality and so easy to apply.
Perfect for every day use and it's full of great transition and crease shades.
If you're on the hunt for a good quality matte eye shadow palette, this is the one!

This Makeup Revolution haul has come to an end!
I would definitely recommend this brand. The quality of their products are purely amazing and so very affordable.

Makeup Revolution Haul: Part 1

Makeup Revolution are based in London and sell such good quality makeup that everyone can afford.
I'll be sharing with you what I picked up in this part 1 of 2 Makeup Revolution haul.
If you love a good haul as much as I do, just keep on reading!

Salvation Palette in Welcome To The Pleasuredome

Very rich shades with some earthy tones as well as a couple brighter shades for adding a touch of colour to your eye look.
This palette contains 12 shimmers and 6 matte shades that can be used all year round.
Amazing pigmentation for the price and perfect for travelling.

Blushing Hearts Blush in Bursting With Love

The Blushing Hearts range is simply beautiful.
Adorable packaging and the product itself is so flattering on the cheeks.
In the trio you have a highlight, a pale pink and a darker pink blush shade.
You can use the shades individually or mix the three together for a luminous flush on the cheeks.

Eye Dust in Etiquette

I was pleasantly surprised by how pigmented this was.
It's a gorgeous bronze shade that would suit all skin tones.
A great little product for special occasions.
It is quite messy to apply which is the only downside but it's so inexpensive that it just doesn't matter!

Iconic Pro Lipstick in Liberty

This shade of lipstick is a cross between magenta and violet so if you love your purple tones of lipstick, this is for you!
Creamy in texture and comfortable to wear on the lips.

If you're not too keen on bold lip colours, not to worry as there are 20 shades to choose from in the Iconic Pro range.

The One Blush Stick in Pink

A very vibrant shade of pink so you only need a small amount.
Can be used wet for more of a sheer wash of colour or dry for an intense colour.
This shade of blush would look amazing on fair skin tones.

Unicorns Unite Lipstick in Magical

If you're feeling daring or looking to try something different, the Unicorns Unite range is just that. Especially if you're in a experimental kind of mood.
It's in between a matte and creamy formula with just the right amount of shimmer.

Salvation Intense Lip Lacquer in Nothing Like You & I

The quality of this lip lacquer is amazing.
The colour is so opaque and intense.

Does not feel sticky on the lips at all and the formula is very smooth and glossy.
There are 10 beautiful shades to choose from and so wallet friendly!

Pro Looks Palette in Eat Sleep Makeup Repeat

This palette has all the colours of the rainbow and would be the perfect addition to your makeup collection if you love working with colour or if you'd like to start.
These shades just scream Spring and Summer and all you'd need is a touch of colour to complete your look.
They blend really well together and the pigmentation is fantastic!
You could go for a more softer look with this palette or go completely bold with a vibrant, intensified makeup look.

 Single Eyeshadow in Candy Frosted

This eyeshadow looks just like fairy floss and I had to have it!
A very pretty shade of pink with incredible colour payoff and easy to blend.
It doesn't have that chunky glitter, it's a very fine shimmer that looks beautiful on the lid.
Also not much fallout which is always a bonus.

Single Eyeshadow in Envy

Another pigmented eyeshadow from the range.
It is quite a dark shade so do be careful and only apply a bit at a time.
Lasts really well on the eyelid and can be applied wet or dry, depending on the intensity you desire.

There goes part 1 of 2 of my Makeup Revolution haul.
